Everything Firmlog needs to talk to your repos and the model. Your GitHub token is stored locally and sent to Firmlog's server only to authenticate GitHub API requests. Commit messages are processed by Gemini on Google's servers.
A personal access token (classic or fine-grained) lets Firmlog read commits and tags from your repositories — including private ones.
Firmlog uses an LLM to summarise commits into release notes. The model is fixed during alpha.
Switching at launch. Production Firmlog will route through Claude for higher-fidelity scope detection and audience rewrites. Your saved tokens, repos and history will carry over — no migration step.
Clears the GitHub token, cached repos, and any drafted changelogs from this browser. Your GitHub repos and tokens upstream are untouched.
